This Mercedes SL350 has been sat in a garage for the last 14 years. It is now in need of a considerable but straight forward restoration.

The body was repainted at some point in the 1990’s and a number of photograph’s show new panels being fitted. The paintwork is now showing signs of blistering on the fronts of the wings and varies small areas around the car. The condition beneath the chrome wheel arch covers is unknown, although they are likely to be in fairly sound condition based on the rest of the panels.

The owner has regularly driven the car in and out of the garage over the last 14 years so the engine with only 67,000 miles starts and runs smoothly.

This car was registered on 1st July 1973.

According to DVLA records there are less than 50 of these models registered/on the road in the UK. Making this vehicle a worthwhile project.

A number of obvious issues include:

A new hood required (Frame is find and straight)
New door cards (ripped)
Small rip in drivers seat (probably repairable)
Front Indicator Light has small crack
Front Bumper needs replacing
Rear Light has small crack
Rear Bumper needs attention/possible replacement
Hard top has cracked rear screen

5 Previous owners
Last owner for over 20 years
Although no service history there are a number of MOT’s that date back to the 80’s which confirm the mileage to be correct.

A worthwhile and exciting opportunity to put this classic back on the road. Could be worth £15,000+ once completed.
